The website must state a genuine preservation plan. Recommended implementation is OJS with regular off-site backups and, when operationally available, participation in a recognised long-term preservation service such as PKP Preservation Network, LOCKSS/CLOCKSS or another archive listed in the Keepers Registry.

● Maintain scheduled database and file backups.

● Keep issue/article metadata independent of a single local computer.

● Preserve final PDFs and source metadata.

● Document how content remains accessible if the journal ceases publication.
